INVESTORS ZONE

HOW TO DO BUSINESS IN THE ZONE?

Our company works within the Katowice Special Economic Zone on the basis of a formal licence. The licence to conduct business activity within the KSEZ involves two conditions the investor is required to fulfil.

First, create a specific number of jobs within the Zone by an indicated deadline.
Second, incur a specific amount of capital expenditure within the Zone by an indicated deadline.

The deadline for these two conditions shall be determined by the investor.
Newly employed staff are understood as the number of staff members hired after the investor obtains the licence to operate their business within the Zone, in connection with the new investment.

The investor undertakes not to transfer the assets related to the investment expenditure in any way for:
> 5 years of investment completion, in the case of large companies
> 3 years in the case of SMEs

The investor undertakes to operate their business for:
>
At least 5 years after the investment is completed
> At least 3 years in the case of SMEs

The investor undertakes to maintain the declared level of employment for:
> At least 5 years after the investment is completed
> At least 3 years in the case of SMEs

Further, the investor shall submit monthly reports to the zone administrator KSSE S.A., informing of the current employment level and amount of capital expenditure.
KSSE S.A. performs periodic, annual checks of the investors’ compliance with the capital expenditure and employment requirements.
